Bi-weekly Seminar (4 consecutive semesters for Juniors and 2 consecutive semesters for seniors)
This seminar, which is separate from the Field Seminar required for graduation, is designed to help students prepare for their professional development in the child welfare field. Students will meet bi-weekly with the Campus Coordinator to learn about self care, secondary trauma and counter-transference, safety, and portfolio development. Students will also read a memoir by Jeanette Walls entitled, "The Glass Castle" regarding homelessness and family dynamics.
